Students across Inspire Education Group (IEG) institutions have dedicated 611 hours volunteering with a social value of £2,822.82 over the last year as part of the Duke of Edinburgh (DofE) awards, a self-development programme for young people aged between 14-25 years.
This incredible achievement has made a significant difference in the local area whilst enabling our students to develop their understanding of the value of community and the importance of working together towards a common goal.
Here at IEG, we are immensely proud of the dedication, effort and achievement of our students who have been giving back to the community. Activities have included taking part in the Walking Home for Christmas campaign, in which 50 learners trained and participated in a 12-mile walk raising funds for ex-military service personnel to have access to counselling services and support around gaining future employment.
Our students' social value certificate, awarded by the DofE, will take pride of place at Stamford College.
A big well done to everyone involved. We are so incredibly proud of you.
