Various colleges from across the area arrived in their busloads to Stamford College’s Borderville Sports Complex, ready to compete in a variety of hair and beauty specialist categories. From bridal, to Fantasy Hairdressing, to more general competitions such as ‘Barbering Cut & Finish’, students’ designs were scored by a panel of expert judges from the Association of Hairdressers and Therapists, ahead of an awards ceremony that drew the event to a close. Mark Pawsey, National Chair of AHT, shared, “Sincere thanks to all who attended our AHT Competitions event. All students behaved in an impeccable manner and were polite at all times. Adding to this, a huge congratulations to all students that gained a place in the Finals”.
