Level 3 Extended Diploma in Creative Media Production & Technology students at Stamford College followed a live brief to design recruitment resources for locally based, Evergreen Care Trust. Operating in Stamford, Bourne and the Deepings, the Evergreen Care Trust is a volunteer-led service that offers support and companionship to the elderly, working to tackle the challenges of loneliness and isolation, and promoting ‘healthy ageing’.
Live briefs are common place on the Creative Arts courses across Inspire Education Group, as they help students to put their formal College learning into practise. Students experience working towards a client’s requirements, meeting deadlines, and presenting their ideas. Partnering with enterprises such as Evergreen Care Trust enables students to expand their portfolio, whilst also supporting the local community. In light of the difficulty of recruitment within the social care sector, learners designed welcome cards for Evergreen personnel and new service users. ‘Join us’ posters and post cards were also produced.
Representative of Evergreen Care Trust, Louise Marsh, commended the students’ hard work, “We had a wonderful morning visiting the second-year students and were delighted with the standard of their exceptional work. They are clearly very talented and had put a lot of thought and effort into their designs. It was a privilege to partner with Stamford College once again, and we are extremely grateful”.
Inspire Education Group gives thanks to the Evergreen Care Trust for its continued partnership and looks forward to seeing the impact that the students’ work has on the Trust’s recruitment drive.
