Stamford College students celebrate exceptional Level 3 Diploma results!


Recent unprecedented times certainly have not held back the students of Stamford College with an overall pass rate of 98% and 100% pass rate reported in 28 out 35 Level 3 Diploma subjects including Electrical, Beauty, Carpentry, IT, Health & Social Care, Graphic Design, Fashion and Computing. An outstanding achievement for the class of 2021, highlighting their resilience and dedication against all odds.

Top-performing BTEC courses with students achieving DMM* or above, the equivalent of A*-B at A level, included:

Animal Management -80% of students achieved DMM or above

Business - 58% of students achieved DMM or above

Football Development -81% of students achieved DMM or above,

Public Services -71% of students achieved DMM or above

Sport and Exercise Science - 76% of students achieved DMM or above

Tiffany Roe Fashion 2021

Tiffany Roe, who achieved a Dis­tinc­tion in Fash­ion & Cloth­ing, said,

Stam­ford Col­lege has a lot of the resources on offer to help you progress into high­er edu­ca­tion. Tim, from the careers advice office, helped me write a per­son­al state­ment for UCAS. He also gave me all the infor­ma­tion I need­ed about the indus­try oppor­tu­ni­ties avail­able to me in my future career. My tutors were also very knowl­edge­able and reas­sured me on my path to university. 

Even with the pan­dem­ic, It was still a great expe­ri­ence, which I found very inspir­ing and helped me to decide what I want­ed to do when I had fin­ished my col­lege course.”

Tiffany is now going onto study Cos­tume for Per­for­mance at Lon­don Col­lege of Fash­ion!

George Taylor

George Tay­lor, who achieved a Dis­tinc­tion in Cre­ative Media Pro­duc­tion, said,

After pre­vi­ous­ly attend­ing sixth form, when the oppor­tu­ni­ty arose to study at Stam­ford Col­lege, it seemed like a good oppor­tu­ni­ty. Col­lege gave me the free­dom to col­lab­o­rate and work with a diverse com­mu­ni­ty, help­ing me realise who I am as a per­son and what I want to do.

If you are think­ing of study­ing at Stam­ford Col­lege, go for it, it is the oppor­tu­ni­ty of a lifetime”.

George’s next step is to grow his pro­fes­sion­al port­fo­lio before pur­su­ing his dream career by study­ing Cre­ative Writ­ing at Lan­cast­er Uni­ver­si­ty.

Maddison Wallace

Mad­di­son Wal­lace, who achieved a D*, D*, D* in Busi­ness Stud­ies, said,

The Busi­ness Stud­ies tutor Anna was amaz­ing. Her sup­port and guid­ance were vital in enabling me to get to where I am today. Study­ing dur­ing the pan­dem­ic was very chal­leng­ing, but I enjoyed learn­ing and devel­op­ing. Now I have the knowl­edge and expe­ri­ence I need; I can take my next steps to study Adver­tis­ing and Mar­ket­ing at De Mont­fort Uni­ver­si­ty Leicester.”

Sarah Young, Vice Principal of Student Experience for IEG said: “After an unprecedented couple of years for all students, I am so pleased that we are able to celebrate the success of our students the ‘Class of 2021’. The way in which our students have met the challenges of COVID-19 is truly outstanding They have worked incredibly hard and these excellent results are a testament to their relentless dedication, determination and resilience.”

Continued Sarah: “I’m really proud of the hard work and dedication of our inspirational staff, they have done an incredible job to support their students and ensure they continued to receive the best learning experience. As our students leave IEG they will now have a great platform to enter higher education, apprenticeships or to start their careers in industry.”

BTEC Diplomas allow you to gain the practical skills and knowledge to progress straight into employment in industry or offer an alternative route to higher education. If you prefer to learn in a hands-on way and using state-of-the-art facilities then studying a BTEC may be the right choice for you.
