The Arts departments of Stamford College, part of Inspire Education Group, hosted a fantastic night of fun at the ‘Party in the Car Park’ last week. Stamford College’s car park and the Creative Arts block were transformed into an exhibition of students’ work, providing a platform for Art students from every course, every level and every group, to showcase their talents. Visitors could also enjoy captivating performances by the Performing Arts and Music students, as well as local poets, whilst indulging in stonebaked pizzas, ice cream and drinks from the bar.
Year on year, ‘Party in the Car Park’ serves as a crucial milestone to recognise the achievements of Stamford College’s Art students. It is an excellent opportunity for learners to showcase their work to a wider audience, gaining recognition, appreciation and feedback from peers, staff and the general public. It also helps students to gain exposure in the art world, attracting the attention of patrons and opening doors to future opportunities to help them further their artistic careers. Rachael Cooper, Head of Faculty for Business, IT, Media, Travel & Arts at Stamford College explained, “The Party in the Car Park is a really unique event. It showcases the work of nearly 300 talented artists, designers, photographers, performers and musicians, some of whom are about to leave us and move onto new and exciting things. Everyone I spoke to was blown away by the high standard of work and the students’ professionalism. We are so proud of each and every one of our students and last week was the perfect opportunity to show everyone how far they have come”.
Thank you to all that attended. Congratulations to all students and staff involved.
