Students from the Sports department today visited Sue Ryder Thorpe Hall as part of their 'Organising a Sports Event' unit. This followed on from last week's lesson where the team from Thorpe Hall came into college to talk about how a charity like theirs raises funds through various events.
The students gained valuable insight into the work of Thorpe Hall and today's visit enabled them to understand in more depth so that they can support the fundraising aspect of their event. They are currently planning a sports day in a local school and will shortly be making contact with Primary Schools to see who may be interested.
