Inspire Education Group shortlisted for Rutland & Stamford Mercury Business Award

Inspire Education Group (IEG), comprising of Stamford College, Peterborough College and University Centre Peterborough, has been shortlisted for Rutland & Stamford Mercury’s ‘Large Business of the Year’ (sponsored by Chattertons) Mercury Business Award.

Mercury Awards

The 2023 Mercury Business Awards, sponsored by the internet provider, UPP, marks its eighteenth year. The longest established awards of their kind in the area, the local newspaper publisher’s competition recognises the very best of businesses across Stamford, Rutland, Bourne and the Deepings. Editor of the Rutland & Stamford Mercury, Kerry Coupe, said, “It is a huge joy to once again be holding the Mercury Business Awards, which celebrate the achievements of firms and their employees at the heart of our community. Congratulations to all our shortlisted candidates. To get this far is a huge achievement in itself”.

Over the last few weeks, a panel of judges considered hundreds of applications, selecting just three finalists for each category, who are invited to attend the prestigious awards ceremony at Rutland Hall Hotel on the 15th of September. On behalf of IEG, Chief Executive Officer, Rachel Nicholls, shared, "We are deeply honoured and thankful to the Rutland & Stamford Mercury for shortlisting Inspire Education Group in the esteemed Mercury Business Awards 2023. This recognition is testament to the hard work and dedication of our curriculum and business support staff, who strive to provide an exceptional educational experience to our students so that they have the skills and qualifications to get on in life and progress to their chosen destination”. Sarah Young, Vice Principal of Student and Staff Experience, emulated this, “We are privileged to be acknowledged among other outstanding local businesses in this year’s Mercury Business Awards. Being shortlisted in the ‘Large Business of the Year' category is a moment of immense pride for all of us at Inspire Education Group and serves as a reminder to strive even harder in our pursuit of excellence and innovation in teaching. Sincere thanks to Rutland & Stamford Mercury”.

Inspire Education Group would once again like to thank Rutland & Stamford Mercury for the recognition, and looks forward to the ceremony in the autumn.
