This week Inspire Education Group hosted a construction skills competition for Peterborough and Stamford College students. Each institution competed in plumbing, carpentry, bricklaying and electrical installation tasks, with three winners from each category receiving a prize.
The local competition, designed to support the progression, preparation and recognition of learners, allowed students to develop their skills and self-confidence whilst increasing their employability prospects on course completion.
Welcomed on the day were expert judges, Andrew McPartlin and Mark Issacs from Allison Homes, Mark Brear from ELM Electrical Installation and Nick Denton from TC Harrison judged our entries and selected our winners and provided our students with valuable industry insights into the skillset and standards expected within the construction industry.
Thank you to our judges and local employers from Allison Homes, EML Electrical and TC Harrison for supporting the event, and well done to everyone that took part on the day and to our winners.
