After studying her Foundation Degree in Graphic Design with University Centre Stamford, Paige went on to complete her degree at Nottingham Trent University. Since then Paige has secured employment as a Graphic Designer as well as launching her own freelance Graphic Design Business – PNB Designs.
During her degree, Paige was given the opportunity to completely rebrand University Centre Stamford including a new logo design which would feature in the centre’s course guides, literature, billboards and other promotional material. The project was an amazing opportunity for students to get their hands on a real branding project and see their work come to life, working alongside top designers at a local agency.
The winning designs were chosen after students were tasked to pitch their ideas to the panel of judges involved in the University Centre’s current branding. The judges included Head of Higher Education, the Marketing Team at University Centre Stamford, and DSquared Graphic Design Agency.
Paige and her group’s branding proposal stood out from the rest and was implemented into the brand refresh of the University Centre. The branding is still used in the University Centre’s marketing material to date and is a great addition to her portfolio which she has used to push her personal business PNB Designs as well as secure full-time employment with hue – brand design digital, a creative agency based in Stamford and London.
Paige said, "Having live briefs throughout my studies like this project, helped me to gain an understanding of the industry I was heading in to. It abled me to develop my skills in so many different ways, from working within a team to tight deadlines and presentations. It is a personal achievement to have my work as the face of a well-known University Centre in the heart of Stamford. Thanks to the great lectures are University Centre Stamford I have been able to progress and accomplish my dreams."
She is now in the process of opening her online shop where she plans to sell beautifully bespoke home and paper goods as well as producing many freelance projects for local businesses. To check out Paige’s online shop and website click here www.pnbdesigns.co.uk
