Dayne Asba who studied his A Levels in Maths, Further Maths and Physics at Stamford College from 2014 to 2016 has recently graduated with a degree in Financial Mathematics.
Reflecting on his time at college Dayne said,
“Studying A Levels was one of the best experiences to date in terms of learning and getting the most out of my study. The college helped me learn to be more independent and self-focused and I had great support from my tutor who guided me along the way to achieving my goals. I’ve now graduated with a 1st Honors in BSc Financial Mathematics at Nottingham Trent University.”
When Dayne was interviewed for his place at college in 2014 he didn’t meet the minimum qualification requirement to join the course. However, showcasing a passion and assurance to prove his ability far greater than many others of their age and experience, Dayne’s tutor decided to give him a chance to prove his worth and fulfil his promises. From his first day at college Dayne did not disappoint.
Taking home ‘The Determination to Succeed Award’ in Stamford College’s annual Student Awards ceremony back in 2016 his tutor commended Dayne saying,
“I am so glad that I gave him a chance! He has been an inspiration and it makes me realise how worthwhile my job is, when you give someone the opportunity to change their lives!”
We are extremely proud of Dayne and what he has achieved and continue to wish him the best of luck in his career.
