Stamford College’s Level 3 Fashion students were asked to complete a brief which asked them to expand their visual studies and apply the work into print, allowing them to be creative and come up with unique designs for their garments.
When it came to the print, they researched prints and patterns whilst exploring historical and contemporary influences. Using their findings, they experimented with a variety of printed textile techniques to produce a selection of fabric swatches which met the ‘Vivid Tropic’ print trend.
Once they had multiple different fabric swatches, they were asked to decide on a print they would like to use for their Kimono. The results were incredible, showing off a variety of different patterns and a vast and vibrant range of colour throughout.
