To All Staff and Students at Stamford College
This communication only applies to staff and students who work and study at Stamford College.
We are pleased to confirm that Stamford College will re-open on Monday 9th January to all staff and students. Lessons will operate as per normal timetables.
Whilst we have managed to resolve the main issues involving our main gas pipe, there remains a few ongoing challenges. As a result, there will be no heating or hot water in the A Level and Creative Arts buildings, therefore please observe the signs in these blocks in terms of no hot water in the bathroom facilities. A significant number of portable heaters have been purchased, but students and staff who study and work in these buildings are advised to dress appropriately.
Unfortunately, we have no gas supply to our Science Laboratories, Refectory and other Catering facilities although we do have heating to these areas. As a result, there will be limited hot food available and lessons will be adapted for our Science and Catering students.
We hope to have these remaining issues resolved next week.
