Battle of the Bands Competition!

New College Stamford’s Music department put on the show of a lifetime as they hosted the Inter-School Battle of the Bands competition!

New College Stamford’s Music department put on the show of a lifetime as they hosted the Inter-School Battle of the Bands competition!

Local Schools from Peterborough and the surrounding areas came together to compete in a Battle of Bands completion to claim which school had the best band! The event was held at Mama Liz’s in Stamford where the Music department had set up a stage for the students to perform to their fans including family and friends. The Schools that took part included Queen Katherine Academy, Stamford Wellend Academy, Spalding Grammar and lastly Bourne Academy.

The event was a fantastic success and saw each band perform a collection of songs for the judges which afterwards gave the bands feedback on what they did well and what they should work on moving forward.

Each band that performed were amazing and they deserve all the credit for making the event such a success. Congratulations to all the bands that competed but a special mention to the Black Vines from Queen Katherine Academy, they were the overall winners!
