Art students launch online Art Exhibition

Level 3 students from the College's University of the Arts (UAL) accredited Art and Design course have created an online exhibition to celebrate United Nations Day and One World Week.

The theme for One World Week 2020 is: ‘It’s Our World – Let’s make it better’ and all the artwork created by the students resonates this important subject.

Daisy Troth's vivid painting used colour contrasts and clashes for her digital collage in the Russian revolutionary style to make a statement about the pollical response to wildlife and wildfires in California.

College Art Lecturer, Tom Coulthard, who provided the brief for the students and who is setting up the virtual exhibition said, “The students usually exhibit in the Gallery at Stamford Arts Centre but this year we are having to go virtual. The Arts Centre, however, are kindly letting us have a Window exhibition so we will be able to display pictures of the artworks, some of which are large paintings and 3D models.”

"Please explore the exhbition and leave feedback for the students, as this is highly valuable to their progression as professional artists."
