The students were put through their paces by RAF Cranwell’s RAFOTA Instructors, who set a schedule for the day designed around challenging communication skills and teamwork abilities.
During the initial classroom-based sessions, students were blindfolded and tasked to work together to solve a selection of problems and challenges. This was followed by some leaderless team tasks & challenges. After lunch they were put through the wringer by Sergeant Nauyokas of the Station Discipline Team. Nuayokos led an ‘enjoyable’ yet realistic drill session, during which the students showed the respect and can-do attitude required to complete the drills successfully.
The day was rounded off with a fitness session conducted by the Station Physical Training Instructors (PTIs), where students completed the Royal Air Force Fitness Test (RAFFT) consisting of the Multi-Stage Fitness Test, Press Ups & Sit Ups showcasing the high level of fitness needed to keep up with military life.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank RAF Cranwell, for this fantastic opportunity and for allowing our students to get a taste of what their future within the armed forces may hold. To find out more information about how you can enrol in the Air & Defence College, click here.
