Study a range of hands-on and practical courses in all aspects of mechanics in motor vehicles.
You will work in our brand new state-of-the-art workshops built as part of our £3.5 million Construction and Automotive Skills Centre, and utilise excellent links with local employers who provide work experience opportunities so you are fully prepared for work when you successfully complete your course.
Level 1 Covers basics of vehicle maintenance including engine systems, vehicle electrics, wheels, tyres, and introduction to automotive industry technologies. By successful completion of this course you will be able to progress onto level 2.
Level 2: Focuses on advanced subjects like chassis technology, engine transmission, and electrical systems, along with performance tyre maintenance. By successful completion of this course you will be able to progress onto level 3.
Level 3: Delivers in-depth knowledge on engine cooling, fuel, transmission, brake, steering, suspension, and advanced electrical systems.

Tyrell Cambridge, a former Level 1 Motor Vehicle student at Stamford College, has secured a coveted spot on the esteemed training program offered by multinational manufacturer of luxury vehicles and motorcycles, BMW.
Completing his studies with Inspire Education Group (IEG) in 2023, Tyrell was sponsored by BMW to pursue both the Level 2 and Level 3 qualifications. “I used to drive past the BMW garage on my way home from College, and decided to browse for vacancies online”, Tyrell explained. “The foundational knowledge I learnt at College helped me to succeed at the interview stage, and before I knew it, I’d secured my dream role”.
