Course overview

This qual­i­fi­ca­tion is designed for learn­ers with an inter­est in, or who are already work­ing with, peo­ple with learn­ing dis­abil­i­ties in a vari­ety of roles.

This qual­i­fi­ca­tion is suit­able for learn­ers aged 19 and above.

 

Entry Require­ments

You must be 19 or over to be able to apply for this course.

Addi­tion­al Information

Entry is at the dis­cre­tion of the Cen­tre. How­ev­er, learn­ers should be aged at least 16 to under­take the qualification.

There are no spe­cif­ic rec­om­mend­ed pri­or learn­ing require­ments for this qual­i­fi­ca­tion. How­ev­er, learn­ers may find it help­ful if they’ve already achieved a Lev­el 1 qualification.

Course Con­tent

This qual­i­fi­ca­tion aims to give learn­ers knowl­edge and under­stand­ing to work with indi­vid­u­als with learn­ing dis­abil­i­ties or dif­fi­cul­ties. They will explore the prin­ci­ples of safe­guard­ing and pos­i­tive risk – tak­ing and gain aware­ness of the autis­tic spectrum.
