Course overview

This course aims to give you skills and con­fi­dence to make the tran­si­tion to fur­ther learn­ing in the main col­lege envi­ron­ment, or progress towards employ­ment. You will choose to spe­cialise in your own voca­tion­al sub­ject area, which includes: Ani­mal Care, Art, Busi­ness & IT, Cater­ing, Child­care, Con­struc­tion, Hair & Beau­ty, Motor Vehi­cle, Pub­lic Ser­vices and Sport. These pro­grammes also include ses­sions in Eng­lish and Maths, enrich­ment, tuto­ri­als, inde­pen­dence and sup­port­ed study. 

 

Entry Require­ments

No for­mal qual­i­fi­ca­tions are required.

Poten­tial Future Career

Most stu­dents progress from Path­ways to a main­stream course in their cho­sen voca­tion­al area. There are oppor­tu­ni­ties to progress to a Sup­port­ed Intern­ship or the Employ­a­bil­i­ty Course.
