Course overview

Over 4 mil­lion peo­ple in the UK live in social hous­ing, and with some social hous­ing ten­ants being at their most vul­ner­a­ble, it’s impor­tant that any­one work­ing in the sec­tor has a sound under­stand­ing of the range of ser­vices pro­vid­ed by social hous­ing, the issues that ten­ants might face, and how to cor­rect­ly record and report any problems.

This qual­i­fi­ca­tion is designed for learn­ers who want to improve their knowl­edge of the func­tions of hous­ing asso­ci­a­tions and ways in which their ten­ants can be sup­port­ed. It will sup­port learn­ers with­in the hous­ing sec­tor to devel­op their knowl­edge of how to bet­ter sup­port ten­ants. Learn­ers may also progress onto fur­ther study.
This qual­i­fi­ca­tion is suit­able for learn­ers aged 19 and above.

 

Entry Require­ments

You must be 19 or over to be able to apply for this course.

Addi­tion­al Information

Entry is at the dis­cre­tion of the Cen­tre. How­ev­er, learn­ers should be aged at least 16 to under­take the qualification.

There are no spe­cif­ic rec­om­mend­ed pri­or learn­ing require­ments for this qual­i­fi­ca­tion. How­ev­er, learn­ers may find it help­ful if they’ve already achieved a Lev­el 1 qualification.

Course Con­tent

This qual­i­fi­ca­tion is suit­able for a range of learn­ers, either work­ing or wish­ing to work in the hous­ing sec­tor, specif­i­cal­ly for a hous­ing asso­ci­a­tion or social landlord.
