Course overview
Supported Internships support your progresssion and will enable you to achieve sustainable employment. You will undertake a range of employability sessions to equip you with skills you need for the workplace. You will enage in work placements and have the opportunity to study the relevant qualifications such as English and maths. Supported Internships are unpaid, and will run for 1 year, but wherever possible the College will support you to move into paid employment at the end of the programme.
Entry Requirements
You must have an Education, Health and Care Plan or be in the process of applying for one and be 16 – 24 years old at the start of the course. You must also be motivated towards gaining employment.
Potential Future Career
With the experience gained during the course and with the support from the college you will be able to progress to employment in a number of job roles.
Course Content
You will undertake employability sessions to equip you with the skills needed for the workplace, and engage in work placements. There is also the opportunity to achieve relevant qualifications in English and maths.
