Course overview

Mas­ter your skills and deep­en your knowl­edge of the motor indus­try from a repair and refit per­spec­tive. Focus on the diag­no­sis of mod­ern, com­plex motor vehi­cle sys­tems, includ­ing advanced sys­tems oper­a­tion and their faults. You will study both the prac­ti­cal and the­o­ret­i­cal aspects of the diag­no­sis and repair of light vehi­cles, using indus­try stan­dard diag­nos­tic equipment.

 

What Does The Pro­gramme Include

You will learn both in the class­room, with the­o­ry based dis­cus­sions, mul­ti­me­dia pre­sen­ta­tions and work­sheets as well as gain­ing hands on prac­ti­cal expe­ri­ence in our new Auto­mo­tive Skills Cen­tre. You will be expect­ed to under­take inde­pen­dent learn­ing through research tasks with the oppor­tu­ni­ty to under­take your own project vehi­cle builds.

Entry Require­ments

Light Vehi­cle Main­te­nance and Repair Prin­ci­pals Diplo­ma Lev­el 2, or rel­e­vant indus­try experience.

You will require a uni­form con­sist­ing of steel toe capped boots and over­alls which can be pur­chased direct­ly from our web­site. Dur­ing your inter­view you will also sit an online suit­abil­i­ty assess­ment. The result of this, plus your pre­vi­ous aca­d­e­m­ic achieve­ments and matur­ty will deter­mine the lev­el of course you are offered.
