Hairdressing Diploma Level 3

You will per­form a range of hair­dress­ing ser­vices in a real­is­tic work­ing salon envi­ron­ment. You will learn through live prac­ti­cal demon­stra­tions, research and small group-based activities.

You will require a recent Hair­dress­ing Lev­el 2 qual­i­fi­ca­tion or equiv­a­lent. If you are not pro­gress­ing as an inter­nal appli­ca­tion a trade test will be arranged to assess suitability.

Mature stu­dents may offer cur­rent expe­ri­ence in a salon as an alter­na­tive to for­mal qualifications. 

Stu­dents at this lev­el will also be expect­ed to obtain a rel­e­vant indus­try place­ment 2 days a week, to sup­port their progress on the course.

The major­i­ty of your assess­ment will be through prac­ti­cal obser­va­tion. You will com­plete online tests, assign­ments and a port­fo­lio of evi­dence to assess your knowl­edge and under­stand­ing of Hairdressing.

You will require a ​“top up” hair­dress­ing kit and uni­form. Details will pro­vid­ed to you pri­or to enrolment.

Stu­dents on this course excel in com­pe­ti­tions, source excel­lent and reward­ing place­ments, and as a result have great rep­u­ta­tions for suc­cess and pro­gres­sion in to the industry.

On suc­cess­ful com­ple­tion of this course, you could progress to careers such as a Hair Styl­ist, Hair Colourist or as a Tech­ni­cal Rep­re­sen­ta­tive. You could also fur­ther your stud­ies with a HND in Salon Man­age­ment at university.

• Pro­vid­ing Client Con­sul­ta­tion Services
• Devel­op, enhance and Eval­u­ate your Cre­ative Hair­dress­ing Skills
• Con­tribut­ing to the plan­ning, imple­men­ta­tion and eval­u­a­tion of pro­mo­tion­al activities
• Cut Men’s Hairstyles

There maybe oppor­tu­ni­ties to vis­it Salon Inter­na­tion­al at Lon­don’s Excel where you can check out the lat­est devel­op­ments, get your hands-on new prod­ucts and see live demon­stra­tions.

You may also have the chance to get involved in com­pe­ti­tions such as the AHT (Asso­ci­a­tion of Hair­dressers & Ther­a­pists) Awards where the Col­lege have an envi­able rep­u­ta­tion for suc­cess, reg­u­lar­ly achiev­ing top places in the nation­al finals across mul­ti­ple categories.
