If you are inter­est­ed in gain­ing more spe­cial­ist knowl­edge in areas such as facial treat­ments, mas­sage, face and body treat­ments then the Lev­el 3 Beau­ty could be the course for you. This course aims to equip you with a range of skills cou­pled with sound tech­ni­cal knowl­edge of the beau­ty indus­try, enabling you to start a career in the beau­ty ther­a­py sector

What Does The Pro­gramme Include

You will learn your skills through prac­ti­cal demon­stra­tions, you will be com­plet­ing research tasks and assign­ments. You will be have the oppor­tu­ni­ty to use a range of prod­ucts and be expect­ed to demon­strate your com­pe­tence under observation.

Entry Require­ments

You will need to hold a lev­el 2 qual­i­fi­ca­tion or equiv­a­lent in Beau­ty Ther­a­py and your GCSE maths and Eng­lish at 4 or above.

You must demon­strate a pro­fes­sion­al appear­ance and mature atti­tude to take respon­si­bil­i­ty for your own learn­ing and pro­vide your own clients to enable you to com­plete the prac­ti­cal assessments.

We will review each appli­ca­tion on a case-by-case basis to ensure you get a place on the course most suit­able for you.<?xml:namespace pre­fix = o” ns = urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office” />

One of the ways we do this is through a very effec­tive ?‘6 weeks to suc­cess pro­gramme’ that oper­ates from the first day you start your course. This includes sup­port such as (but not lim­it­ed to):

· Allow­ing you to change cours­es if you change your mind in the first 6 weeks ‑sub­ject to availability

· Mov­ing you between course lev­els if you are find­ing your cur­rent lev­el too easy / too hard? — ?sub­ject to availability

· One-to-one reviews with your aca­d­e­m­ic tutor to ensure you are pro­gress­ing and achiev­ing well

How The Course Will Be Assessed

You will be assessed through prac­ti­cal assess­ments on clients and a com­ple­tion of a port­fo­lio. You will also be observed and be expect­ed to com­plete writ­ten assignments.

Addi­tion­al Information

Can­di­dates wish­ing to pur­sue a career in this indus­try should be of smart appear­ance, reli­able, artic­u­late and of a car­ing nature with good com­mu­ni­ca­tions skills.

It is imper­a­tive that you plan ahead as you will be expect­ed to source your own clients to enable you to com­plete your prac­ti­cal assessments.

You will be required to pur­chase a beau­ty uni­form and a kit; this is manda­to­ry require­ment with­in the first six weeks to enable you to com­plete this course. Please see our stu­dent sup­port pages on the col­lege web­site to see how we can help with this purchase.

We take mature 19+ learn­ers on this course if they meet the entry require­ments, how­ev­er there will be fees for the course of £3345.00 (cor­rect 0922) although these can be cov­ered by an Advanced Learn­er Loan
