Course overview
If you are interested in gaining more specialist knowledge in areas such as facial treatments, massage, face and body treatments then the Level 3 Beauty could be the course for you. This course aims to equip you with a range of skills coupled with sound technical knowledge of the beauty industry, enabling you to start a career in the beauty therapy sector

What Does The Programme Include
You will learn your skills through practical demonstrations, you will be completing research tasks and assignments. You will be have the opportunity to use a range of products and be expected to demonstrate your competence under observation.
Entry Requirements
You will need to hold a level 2 qualification or equivalent in Beauty Therapy and your GCSE maths and English at 4 or above.
You must demonstrate a professional appearance and mature attitude to take responsibility for your own learning and provide your own clients to enable you to complete the practical assessments.

One of the ways we do this is through a very effective ?‘6 weeks to success programme’ that operates from the first day you start your course. This includes support such as (but not limited to):
· Allowing you to change courses if you change your mind in the first 6 weeks ‑subject to availability
· Moving you between course levels if you are finding your current level too easy / too hard? — ?subject to availability
· One-to-one reviews with your academic tutor to ensure you are progressing and achieving well

How The Course Will Be Assessed
You will be assessed through practical assessments on clients and a completion of a portfolio. You will also be observed and be expected to complete written assignments.
Additional Information
Candidates wishing to pursue a career in this industry should be of smart appearance, reliable, articulate and of a caring nature with good communications skills.
It is imperative that you plan ahead as you will be expected to source your own clients to enable you to complete your practical assessments.
You will be required to purchase a beauty uniform and a kit; this is mandatory requirement within the first six weeks to enable you to complete this course. Please see our student support pages on the college website to see how we can help with this purchase.
We take mature 19+ learners on this course if they meet the entry requirements, however there will be fees for the course of £3345.00 (correct 09⁄22) although these can be covered by an Advanced Learner Loan
