Course overview

You will study both prac­ti­cal and the­o­ret­i­cal ele­ments of beau­ty ther­a­py and will become pro­fi­cient in per­form­ing a diverse range of treat­ments along­side giv­ing expert after­care advice and pro­mot­ing retail prod­ucts in our pro­fes­sion­al beau­ty ther­a­py envi­ron­ment. You will be taught by high­ly expe­ri­enced tutors who have a wealth of indus­try experience. 

 

Entry Require­ments

4 GCSEs at grades 3/D or above, includ­ing Eng­lish, maths and sci­ence, or a rel­e­vant Lev­el 1 qual­i­fi­ca­tion.

We will review each appli­ca­tion on a case-by-case basis to ensure you get a place on the course most suit­able for you.

One of the ways we do this is through a very effec­tive ​‘6 weeks to suc­cess pro­gramme’ that oper­ates from the first day you start your course. This includes sup­port such as :

  • Allow­ing you to change cours­es if you change your mind in the first 6 weeks ‑sub­ject to availability. 
  • Mov­ing you between course lev­els if you are find­ing your cur­rent lev­el too easy / too hard ‑sub­ject to availability. 
  • Incor­po­rat­ing Eng­lish and maths GCSE resits in to your timetable if you don’t achieve grade 4. 
  • One-to-one reviews with your aca­d­e­m­ic tutor to ensure you are pro­gress­ing and achiev­ing well.

Poten­tial Future Career

On suc­cess­ful com­ple­tion of this course, you have the oppor­tu­ni­ty to progress to Lev­el 3 Beau­ty Ther­a­py, or Lev­el 2 Hair­dress­ing or Media-make up diplo­mas. You could also progress into the beau­ty industry.

Course Trips

Enrich­ment trips and activ­i­ties are sched­uled for the aca­d­e­m­ic year and will be advised accord­ing­ly at ​‘Meet the Tutor’ event
