Stamford Sixth A Level Block Leading the Way in Sustainability
Inspire Education Group (IEG) is making major strides in sustainability, with Stamford Sixth’s A Level block at the forefront of its ambitious decarbonisation strategy.

As part of IEG’s commitment to reducing reliance on the national grid and moving away from gas heating, this state-of-the-art facility has been designed to operate entirely without gas. Instead, it incorporates a range of sustainable technologies to minimise environmental impact while providing a modern, energy-efficient learning space for our students.
The Stamford Sixth A Level block is equipped with advanced air source heat pumps for heating, large solar PV installations to generate clean electricity, and a rainwater harvesting system to improve water efficiency. In addition, enhancements to the building’s insulation and materials ensure better energy conservation, reducing overall consumption and supporting IEG’s long-term sustainability goals. These features make the block one of the most eco-friendly buildings within the Group’s estate alongside the new Centre for Green Technology building at the Peterborough College campus.
This development is a key part of IEG’s wider efforts to future-proof its campuses through investment in renewable energy and carbon reduction initiatives. By integrating cutting-edge technology, the Group is setting a new standard for further education institutions, demonstrating that high-quality education and environmental responsibility can go hand in hand.
As the Stamford Sixth A Level block continues to serve as a model for green innovation, IEG remains committed to expanding its sustainability efforts across all campuses. Each project brings the Group closer to creating fully sustainable learning environments, ensuring students and staff benefit from modern, environmentally responsible spaces for years to come.
