Ambitions Adult Day Opportunities

Ambi­tions is cur­rent­ly open three days a week, Mon­day, Tues­day and Thurs­day all year round apart from bank hol­i­days and a short Christ­mas break. We aim to start Wednes­day pro­vi­sion in the near future.

Ambi­tions is deliv­ered from a des­ig­nat­ed self-con­tained area in the grounds of Stam­ford Col­lege. We have a ful­ly acces­si­ble kitchen, large day room and an enterprise/​art and craft room, in addi­tion to this we have our own self-con­tained gar­den. Ambi­tions has use of a mini bus for local trips and days out fur­ther afield.

Wher­ev­er pos­si­ble, we sup­port peo­ple to par­tic­i­pate in ordi­nary com­mu­ni­ty activ­i­ties in ordi­nary places whilst meet­ing the needs of the indi­vid­ual to do so.

Ambi­tions is a client led activ­i­ty-based pro­vi­sion, pro­mot­ing choice and inde­pen­dence. Our belief is that all peo­ple have con­tri­bu­tions to make in soci­ety and access­ing ser­vices in their local com­mu­ni­ties can raise their pro­file for bet­ter com­mu­ni­ty inclusion.

Ambi­tions costs start from £65 per day which includes all refresh­ments but not lunch. This is payable by direct pay­ments or self-fund­ed. Clients can be assessed indi­vid­u­al­ly for more ded­i­cat­ed sup­port where required. If you should require any advice on access­ing direct pay­ments. Then please con­tact me.

Arts and Craft

We enjoy arts and crafts which includes cre­ative art using tex­tiles, water colour, tie dye, draw­ing and many more.

Enter­prise

We run our own Social Enter­prise oppor­tu­ni­ties for ser­vice users to get involved in, where­by we assist in devel­op­ing their work skills in our imme­di­ate envi­ron­ment. All prof­its are used for our ser­vice users and their cho­sen activities.

Events and Fundraising

Ambi­tions run fundrais­ing events through­out the year and love to host to their friends and fam­i­ly. Ser­vice users are involved with our fundrais­ing through raf­fles, hold­ing after­noon teas and tak­ing part in spon­sored activ­i­ties. We also like to sup­port local char­i­ties to give some­thing back to the community.

Com­mu­ni­ty Inclusion

Ambi­tions ser­vice users like to get out and about and have fun with their friends. Their favourite activ­i­ties are theme parks, bowl­ing, farms, muse­ums, sports and hav­ing a game of pool at the pub.

Sports and Activities

Ambi­tions attends local inclu­sive sports groups for Boc­cia, adapt­ed cycling, sail­ing and box­ing. We encour­age fit­ness through walk­ing and group games as well as out­door sports dur­ing the summer.
