Our independent skills centre provides a discrete and highly-effective provision for students with learning difficulties and/or disabilities, offering first-class education delivered by dedicated teams of specialist and experienced staff.
Students study in our two specially adapted houses with newly built classrooms, a large greenhouse, a small outdoor sports area, gardens and a chicken run, where they gain the opportunity to engage in a range of learning to develop their independence and vocational work skills. Students can also start with, or progress to, Pathways where they attend classes in the main College environment preparing them for mainstream courses.
Work Experience
The life prospects of a special educational needs (SEN) student are massively improved when they get a helping hand into the world of work. Our students have a brilliant track record with local employers in a range of areas. All placements are fully supported by a specially-trained work coach.
