Department overview

Do you love working with people? Study our Health and Social Care courses and get hands-on experience along the way, gaining knowledge and skills from real midwives, nurses and therapists who are dedicated to help you succeed in a course you love.

Successful students have progressed to Nursing and Social Work degrees and with 4 weeks of hands-on work experience (which has seen students work at care homes, hospitals, social services and residential care) you’ll also gain valuable skills to enter the workplace.

Transport Information

Along­side trans­port run by local coun­cils, we also have 15 dif­fer­ent bus routes through­out Lin­colnshire, Rut­land, Peter­bor­ough, Cam­bridgeshire and Northamptonshire.

I have secured a place at Anglia Ruskin University to study a degree in social work thanks to the expert training from supportive tutors and valuable experience from work placements.


I am progressing to a Degree in Children's Nursing at the University of Nottingham. The work experience opportunities that were available and encouraged at College gave me great experience.


After not achieving what I had hoped for at GCSE the college helped me climb back up and supported me to achieve my goals. I’m now heading to the University of Nottingham to study Adult Nursing.


During my course I shadowed a paramedic, that gave me the experience to get a scholarship to study Paramedical Science - my course fees are all paid for!
